In this introductory fused glass technique class, you will create two 6″x6″ fused glass trivets each made from two layers of glass. This will give you 4 layers of glass with which to experiment with the “Flow” technique. We will provide the tools and instruction needed for you to let loose and use several colors of powdered glass to create vibrant atmospheres. This is a fun and easy class that will cover glass fusing basics as well as the featured technique.
Pendants make great gifts for your loved ones, or for yourself! Create up to 10 pendants in this two hour class using the variety of materials available, including frit, dichroic and iridescent glass, colored sheet glass, and glass molds. Either have a bail glued onto the pendant or have a hole drilled instead.

Create a square or circular bowl using special glass that reacts with silver foil to turn it gold or bronze while retaining a metallic look. Also learn about reactive potential between the various materials used to create different colors in glass. Learn about transparency and illumination in this fun project class. Create a suncatcher (up to 7″) to hang in your window to catch the springtime sun and cast lovely rainbows of color into your home. A hook for hanging will be fired directly into the glass for easy display. Other hanging hardware not included.
Express your creativity in glass by making up to 2 unique incense holders using your choice of sheet glass, scrap, frit, powder, dichroic elements, and even custom part-sheets. These handmade holders are useful at home and make great gifts! You will create the 2.5″x 10″ pieces, and our staff will happily drill a hole and slump them in the proper mold for you.
Learn about how texture can be added to glass in this fun two–day class. On the first day, you will create a two–layer fused piece of glass (up to 1 sq. foot). On day two, work with a combination of powdered glass, gel, and water to add a glass paste to the surface of the glass, and then use a variety of textured materials to add depth and interest to your piece. Hanging hardware is included in the price of the class.

On the first day of this two day class, create two 5″x5″ blank tiles and browse designs available for sandblasting, or consult with the instructor about custom designs. On the second day, learn about creating a film positive, exposing and washing out photoresist film, applying it to glass, and then sandblasting.

View examples of various reactions and what causes them, and discover how to use them to your artistic benefit! After some instruction, you will experiment with four 4″x4″ coasters.

Make 2 trays over 2 weeks! The first week, make your trays using any fused glass technique you want. The second week, decorate your trays with decals, frit, stringers, and more! Both days are required.

Create one 6″ square or round piece of glass that you will decorate using the screen-printing technique! Learn how to transform any image for use in screen-printing, how to burn the image onto your screen, and then how to print your image onto glass using powder or enamel. Bring a 3″ to 5″ image (print or digital) to class that you will print onto glass.
Learn how to create one 7″ plate by damming rods of glass! Choose from opaque and transparent rods and stringers to make stunning patterns in your finished plate.
