The rest of the torchwork dishes that I made from our 6″ square experiments during the Set Your Kiln on Fire class at Bullseye came out of the kiln over the weekend. If you want more information on each specific dish and how it was made, you can look back at this post I made about the class. In that post, you can see them as tiles before they were slumped into dishes.
One of the torchwork dishes seems to be getting the most attention from everyone I show them to. The attention grabbing dish is the one in the lower right corner of the photo and it is the one that was made with Bullseye’s new silver reactive gold and bronze glasses. These new glasses aren’t yet available for sale to the general public, which is a big disappointment to all of us who have had an opportunity to work with them both. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to add this glass into my repertoire once it’s available.
