My first show!!! I have been accepted as a juried artist into the Great Fair, which will be held in Fountain Hills, Arizona. It’s a suburb on the northeast side of Phoenix, outside of the 101 Loop. The Great Fair will run February 21-23, 2014, so it’s just a bit over a month away.
If you can’t already tell, I’m really, REALLY, excited! Luckily, I have been assuming that I would get in, so I’ve been working towards being in the show even before I got my notice that I was in. I still have more art that I want to create before the show, so I’m heading out to the studio after I post this. If you’ve been following my work and live in or near Arizona, I would love for you to stop by and see me and my work in person.
This show has a wonderful reputation of showing really great art and attracting a good crowd, so I’m looking forward to getting to interact with people – hear and see their reactions to my work, find out what each person in the crowd that stops is attracted to most, and hopefully make quite a few sales of what I’ve done over the past couple of years as I’ve built up my inventory. It’s hard to create in a vacuum and then know what to make more (or less) of. This will also be the public debut for my intention plates, tie dye bowls, and frit ball bowls. While people have bought or ordered these directly from me or the website, this will be a great way to see what the public at large thinks of these art works.
Off to work on more inventory for my upcoming first show!!! Whoo hoo!
