A Choice intention platter just came out of the kiln yesterday. In this larger (about 14″ square) piece of fused glass art I chose dichroic glass instead of copper mesh for the embellishments. The dichroic glass seems to add sizzle and character to the different directions you can choose from. The arrows are made from Wavy Firestrips, which are manufactured and cut by water-jet by CBS, who is my first choice supplier for dichroic glass for my fused glass artwork.
It wasn’t until I went to take the picture for this blog post that I realized that I forgot to tack fuse the intention to the Choice intention platter before I slumped it. So, over the weekend, I’ll have to refire it to add the Choice intention and then slump it back into shape again. It adds an unexpected extra few steps, but isn’t really a big deal.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
