Light up your home

The soft glow of light diffused through glass is a focal point for any living space and the perfect way to bring the magic of glass art into your home.

Our sconces are made in a spectrum of colors and textures. Abstract, like ocean waves, patterned – and everyone is drawn to a different one.

Some clients love the warm, almost candlelight glow of oranges and yellows, perfect for a sunny kitchen; others are drawn to striking blues and greens. In the studio, we use a row of light sconces to add a unique ambience to a hallway, and they’ve become a real talking point for visitors to the studio.

Light bulbs of up to 60W can be used in these sconces. They won’t light up a room, but to compliment existing lighting or to use as a subtle nightlight that won’t disturb your sleep, we think their warm glow is perfect.

How the sconces are made

These were among the very first pieces I made; in fact, the first three were made in my garage, before we moved into our studio space! I knew I wanted to create some unique lamps to use in the decor for my own home, and so I began to experiment with the different effects.

The sconces are made using a range of types of glass. I’ve learned through trial and error that the only real guideline is to make sure we position the solid areas of glass correctly in order to conceal the bulb. Other than that, there are no rules – an opportunity to follow our inspiration and use whichever technique feels ‘right’ for that particular piece.
